A kutch work finish

Happy to show you a kutch work finish.  Yoke and sleeves for a kurti.  Done using three strands of anchor embroidery thread of shade no. 881.  I ran out of thread in the middle and that's why it took so many days to finish it.  Embroidery is done on silk cotton fabric.

Closeup of the yoke.

Sleeves.

Now two mandalas from my sketch book.
I have learnt to draw this mandala from here.

Want to know how to draw this click here.

I am ready with some crochet finishes too.  They are waiting for their turn to get photographed.  Will be back with another finish in crochet and some WIP's.  Till then, Happy embroidering and doodling.

I am linking this post to  stitchery  link party.

Kutch work blouse Neck

In my last post I have shown an embroidered kutch work blouse.  I had to remove the embroidered part of the neck because of the flop in the stitching.  After that it was looking very plain and I was forced to do some embroidery. Then I came up with this.  A line of chain stitch and simple kutch work.  I like this design than the previous one.  Have a look.

I have completed the embroidery in the saree also.  After ironing it, I will take snaps and show you in my next post.  Till then, Happy Embroidering.

Kutch embroidery blouse

Today i am here to show you the saree blouse which i have embroidered using Kutch work.  Simple design has been done for the neck and sleeves.  Have a look and type in your comments.

Now the sleeves.

And now the saddest part,  When I gave the blouse for stitching, She stitches the blouse perfectly, but the embroidered part of the neck is 1" below the neckline. I don't know why she made a blunter mistake. So I removed the neckline embroider part and to my luck when I washed the tracing lines have all gone.  Thank God.
The embroidery in the saree is almost over.  some more small motifs has to be done in the body part.  So, do watch my space. Till then, Happy Embroidering.

Kutch Work Neck

Today I am showing you my kutch work Neck design.  The design in the center part is taken from Nirmala C. Mistry "Embroidery designs Blouses".    Kutch work is done using cone thread.  The scalloped part of the neck is  Braid stitch or cable plait stitch. I have learned it from here. Done this work on a lavender color plain 2x2 cloth.  Now I have to search for a cloth so that I can fit this yoke.  Planning to do border if I find the matching cloth for this yoke.  Waiting for your feedbacks.

You can find great kutch work tutorials here.  Thanks to Bhavani for helping me to learn kutch work free of cost.

Close up of the neck.

Sorry for the picture quality since it is taken through mobile camera.
